The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania (Vytis). The inscriptions LIETUVA (Lithuania), 2007 and 50 LITŲ (50 litas) are arranged in a semicircle.
The reverse of the coin has a stylised figure of a runner, surrounded by the inscription PEKINAS (Beijing) and 2008. The top features the logo of the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee.
On the edge of the coin: XXIX OLIMPIADOS ZAIDYNES (THE XXIX OLYMPIC GAMES).
