The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania inside a shield with a fragment of the creative work of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. The inscription 1995 runs below the Coat of Arms, the inscription LIETUVA (Lithuania) arranged in a semi-circle runs at the top and 50 LITŲ (50 litas) at the bottom.
The reverse of the coin displays the portrait of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. The inscription M.K. ČIURLIONIS runs on the right from the portrait in the shape of a semi-circle and the years 1875-1911 on the left.
